Biography
Hi, I’m Haley Pacheco—a storyteller at heart, camera in hand, always chasing the moments that move people.

My journey into media began with a simple love for stories. Since then, I’ve worn a lot of hats: live news reporter, video editor, content strategist, nonprofit media producer, even gym supervisor (yes, seriously). Through it all, one thing has stayed the same: I believe good stories make people feel something—and that’s where the magic happens.

Currently, I’m a Donor Relations and Development Intern at Global Renewal, a nonprofit fighting human trafficking and poverty in Southeast Asia. I support fundraising efforts through grant writing, newsletter development, and donor communications—crafting messaging that builds community and keeps supporters engaged. Before this role, I served as the trip photographer and videographer on Global Renewal’s summer trips in 2022 and 2023, capturing powerful visuals that helped tell the organization’s story at galas and other key events. Whether I was filming BTS gala footage, editing photos from Asia, or analyzing social media data to boost engagement, my goal is always the same: create visuals and messages that connect people to the cause and move them to action.

On campus at the University of Texas, I’ve reported live for Reporting Texas TV, covered everything from government policy to pop culture, and produced stories across digital, print, and broadcast. Before that, I led my high school newsroom as Executive Producer of Hawk TV, where our show won national awards—and taught me the thrill of hitting deadlines with a team that feels like family.

I’ve also worked in brand strategy, customer engagement, and visual merchandising through my years with Aerie, and I currently manage team operations as a Facility Supervisor at Gregory Gym. These jobs may not be media on the surface, but they’ve taught me how to lead, multitask, think creatively, and stay calm under pressure—exactly what production life demands.

Outside of work and class, I’ve turned my camera toward celebrating others—I now shoot senior grad photos on the side, focusing on classic portrait photography that captures each person’s personality and excitement during a milestone moment.

My dream though? To create behind-the-scenes documentaries that spotlight the unsung artists who make movie magic happen—set designers, animators, prop masters, costume teams—the ones whose names scroll by but whose work shapes everything we see on screen. I want to tell their stories.

Until then, I’m constantly learning, creating, and exploring new ways to combine journalism, visual storytelling, and digital media. If you’re looking for someone who loves the hustle, lives for a deadline, and gets excited by the post-production process as much as the shoot itself—we’ll get along great.
